I was doing a study out of the book of Psalms and these two verses stood out to me. I wanted to share them with you, along with my thoughts, in hopes that this speaks to you as a mid-week thought for you to ponder.

Psalm 37:1, 23 “Do not fret…,” “If the Lord delights in a man’s way, he makes his steps firm.”

This season of life finds me with great Peace. I sense the Lord’s hand and the accomplishments before me are truly to His glory!

Yet, my fears do come – I fret – for I feel that the good things in life can quickly be taken.

But, I ask Lord, have you ever let me down? Have I never not had; even in the least of these times I was joyous with little.

Let me not fret about what might be, but if all is changed in turmoil, so be it! I will trust in You.

I’m to enjoy “now” in Christ all you’ve given me. Let me savor the day and all that is before me. If times of change with difficulty occur, then still I know God’s hand of power leads my way. Oh, joyful heart, sing aloud today!
